Esprit Orchestra acknowledges the support of the Canada Council for the Arts which last year invested $26.6 million in music throughout Canada.

Ontario Arts Council
Esprit Orchestra has accepted the honour of being an Ontario Arts Council (OAC) 40th Anniversary Ambassador for the 2003/04 year, and will work with OAC to celebrate four decades of public funding support to Ontario artists and organizations.
Over the past forty years, OAC has played a critical role in assisting professional artists and organizations to create and present work in this province. Since April 26, 1963, when it came into being in the Legislature, OAC has grown to become Ontario's key vehicle for providing essential support to individual artists and professional arts organizations. In 2002/03 alone, the Ontario Arts Council awarded $18.3 million to 868 organizations and $3.7 million in grants to 1,256 artists. These 2,124 grants cover 236 communities across Ontario.
In addition to the Ambassador program, OAC will mount a special anniversary Web site as well as generate local media coverage of artists and organizations funded by OAC.
