Creative Sparks
Creative Sparks is a mentoring project in new music creation, performance, appreciation and leadership which pairs professional composers with students in the classroom over a number of weeks. With the assistance and direction of the composer, students create a composition which they perform in a public concert as part of Esprit's New Wave Young Composers Festival. The project aims to provide access a hands-on experience for young people of varying social backgrounds and levels of artistic ability. The goal is to improve artistic skills and develop an appreciation for our contemporary cultural environment.
