We are very proud to announce that the Governor General of Canada, the Right Honourable David Johnston, has appointed Esprit Orchestra's founder, director, and conductor, Alex Pauk, to the Order of Canada. The news was released on Monday, June 30th.

The Order of Canada, one of Canada's highest civilian honours,recognizes a lifetime of distinguished service to the nation, outstanding achievement, and dedication to the community. Alex Pauk received this extraordinary recognition for his commitment to excellence, his "contributions to the development of contemporary Canadian orchestral music and for his promotion of Canada's composers." Congratulations, Alex!

  Mysteries, May 25, 2014

  Thank you for attending Mysteries on Sunday, May 25th, 2014.
  The concert was an enormous success, featuring two exquisite world
premieres by Canadian composers Zosha Di Castri and Christopher Mayo. The concert closed the 21C Music Festival in grand fashion, with Louis Andriessen's Mysterien as the final work of the festival.
